Richard Assenheim

Having had several roles with a Civil Engineering background, Richard became involved in the asbestos industry, when he joined the newly established asbestos division of a well-known building materials testing company in 1989. Whilst there, he undertook asbestos surveys, air monitoring, project management, laboratory analysis, as well as becoming the asbestos laboratory manager for them.

Richard became one of the founders of Ensafe Consultants, in 1995, and was accountable for the development, review, maintenance and implementation of all asbestos technical and training policies and procedures, compliance and quality management system and heading up the asbestos training both internally and externally and liaising with technical and legislative bodies.

With the Operational Board of Directors now overseeing the day to day activities, Richard is one of the strategic executive board, however he still manages to deliver external training sessions for BOHS, UKATA, IOSH, IATP amongst others, and play an active part in internal training, as well as spending time following his favourite football team to all their matches in England.
