Thank you Collette for contacting the HSE for clarification on this, the information given is cut from the new guide and is where my confusion arose from in the first instance though. However, this could just be me and I’m just grateful for a response! I agree with norac_47474 in that if we find one or two fibres or fibre bundles at stereo stage then we simply have a positive ACM where as if we find one or two fibres or fibre bundles at the grab sample high mag scan stage after searching for the suggested times, them we can use the term ‘trace asbestos identified’.
